Fails to hold charge and description was ambiguous as product description clearly said brand 'Makita' when in fact it was Vanon.

The battery in use only held a full charge for no more than a minute before power slid away to nothing several minutes later.
The battery did not sit well in the matika battery charger and needed a helping hand to work, viewed this as a minor irritation compared to the unsatisfactory way the battery held its charge.

Great Quality, Great service

Bought this battery to replace my old tired battery for my drill.

The battery arrived on time and is very good quality and powerful. Nothing to do with the bateery but just check your drill can handle the increase in power. My drill is old and when using the new battery has a burning smell as the motor in the drill struggles with the increase in power.

I am using the drill on half speed and with the increase power from the new battery it works fine but I have to be careful. As I said this is not the battery fault just something to consider.

A new lease of life for my tough old drill

Very good value purchase. Great to be able to replace the original NiCd batteries with NiMh as the original charger will serve either technology. Although not OEM the battery fits perfectly and holds a good charge. I bought it to use on an intensive drilling/screwing project involving some demanding timber thicknesses. So far it has performed really well for a 14.4v and being NiMh, it can be recharged at any time.
I am delighted with this well-made replacement and hoping that it has a good life in front of it.

Good value replacement for NiCd

I ordered the grey unit and recieved the red one from what appeared to be a different supplier, other than that, it seems a good replacement for the original part. Time will tell.
