Poor at best!
Looks good, but no brighter than a candle. Not sure why Makita make this so bad, just no need. It could be brilliant if they used different led's.

My little led head torch with a 1.5v battery is brighter. I always buy makita and thaught this would be a good addition. Very disappointed very dim with a fully charged 18v battery., it says it last for 30 hours, I can see why better off with a candle, waste of money. Shame on you makita. Read full review...

Worth adding to an existing Makita tool bag
A Makita quality LEF torch for the 18V tool battery packs. Not worth buying a battery and charger just for this but a sound addition to the Makita tool bag I already own

Looks and feels good for what it is.
As for the size with the small battery (BL1815/1820) just feels fine in palm of the hand. It works fine, but could be a bit brighter.
