I have been considering one of these for quite a while,having lots of other Makita tools it made sense. I have the hedge cutter and extension pole as I'm not as young as I was and despite having quite an array of ladders etc,I don't always want to be climbing them these days. The unit looks to be usual Makita quality so I won't have any problems,I'm sure.Read full review

Good but difficult to beat petrol
Build quality excellent. 36v gives plenty of power too. BUT batteries don't last long. I used 2 sets of 3amh (4batteries) when a tank of petrol would have done before.
