Makro Pointer Pinpointer Waterproof Metal Detector Detecting Probe

While it is only rated at 3m water resistance, it's fine for shoreline and puddle searches. I like the design of the Nokta Pinpointer. Buttons and speaker opening are behind the hand position and out of the way of dirt and mud. No accidental button bumps. The light is bright, when you need it, but can be turned off when you don't and still have complete functionality of the unit. 10 increments of sensibility allow fine turning like no other. Nokta really likes their units as it comes with a great case, shoulder strap, and find bag along with two protective, removable covers for probe. One is smooth and the other has a ridge for scraping. The probe is one piece, with no openings which would allow debris to enter the unit. The brain, switches, and speaker are in a knob located at the end of the unit with a nice, silicone o-ring to seal it to the unit. Lightweight and easy to use

Super good Pinpointer

I have detected coins since the late 1960's; I have recommended this pointer to every detectorist I know, I personally know that several have purchased one & none have complained as far as I know. I have become so depended on this pinpointer that I literally quit detecting until this new one arrived (my old Makro was starting to act up). Rather than send it in for repair I decided to just buy a new one (Quicker). I am retired & widowed so I detect as many days per week as weather allows; usually averaging 5-6 days a week. I give this thing a workout, It passes with Flying Colors. I highly recommend this Makro PinPointer to anyone & everyone that needs or wants a new one. You will be hard pressed to find a better one. Sold it after using it twice ,

You can't use it around heavy rocks , it keeps beeping until I turn it off . It only hit on large pieces of gold . It might be good for coins , but not for gold prospecting
