Purchased this for medium format digital landscape set up for night shoots. Works fine, in fact it is my 3rd 3055 ballhead. They are a little stiff, and the QR plate is huge, controls are adequate to achieve proper function. It works, there are tons of better options out there now, but these are nearly indestructible and always available used for cheap and in good shape. Read full review

Sub-par Quality Parts

Within a week of my purchase, one of the levers that tightens the head just snapped off (cheap pot metal). No big deal, I thought - I'll just get another one from Manfrotto. But the part is not available ANYWHERE.
Sad that Manfrotto doesn't back up their products... I guess I expected more from them.Read full review
