It is a brilliant idea and wonderful if you have a faller in your home, who can't get up . The dreadful struggle to get a disabled person back onto their feet simply dealt with.
I told our Macmillan Nurse we needed something like this, I even described what it would do, and she had never heard of it! I came across it by accident and nearly wept when I realised what it could have saved us. I bought one but only used it for a few weeks . It was worth it.
It is very expensive, well over £1000 but worth the pain and humiliation it saves the patient, and the helpless distress of a carer waiting for emergency help to lift someone off the floor.
I resold mine for half its original price within 24 hours of listing it so it was not a white elephant.Read full review

Elk by name, strong & efficient.

The Elk has more than lived up to my expectations. It is easy to use & has taken the stress out of caring for my Disabled Husband, who is very prone to falls because he cannot weight bear following a serious accident. We were very impressed with the stability & how it is adaptable if the patient is unable to move. The layers of the Elk inflate very quickly which makes it suitable for all situations.
