Just perfect

This is a very comprehensive album for a dubte, it has a wonderful mix of fast traks and some slower ones that show off the huge vocal abuility of the young welsh/italian. It is trully an album worthy of being played constantly and proudly, i would urge any byers to really consider this one and tell their friends about it as Marina has yet to get the credit she deserves for churning out somehting which is different to whats out there at the moment and it just proves her credibility and her maturity as an artist.Read full review...

Marina and the Diamonds CD

Very good, I bought it for my partner, but must admit it's one of the best CD's I've heard in a while.

Great first effort

First album from Welsh/Greek songstress Marina Diamandis.This is a good album but not the second coming some critics would have you believe. Marinas writing style differs between that of a wannabe Hollywood superstar to a self depracating small town girl.On the whole a fantastic first effort, Marinas voice is very strong, a cliche i know but reminiscent of Kate Bush. Standout tracks include im not a robot,the outsider and Hollywood, the latter of which contains the chorus of the year.The Kate Bush comparisons will do Marina no harm , her vocal range is similar but this album is far from derivative. A whole lot better than a certain female singer i could mention whose lyrics revolve around how crap her boyfriend is in bed and godawful nursery rhymes about her sibling.Read full review...

Fell good Album, hard to turn off!

I got this loving the released songs, and was really pleased to find the whole album as good as the singles. If you like I Am Not A Robot, Hollywood, you will love this album as I did. Many albums I can feel you need to skip a few tracks to get the best songs, but all the songs are catchy and great to listen to. Highly reccomend.Read full review...

Excellent album!

Bought this CD awhile ago and loved every track! Unfortunately I somehow lost it so I decided to buy a new copy (that's how much I love Marina's music!)

My favourite tracks would have to be 'I Am Not A Robot', 'Obsessions' and 'Oh No!', although all the songs are fun to sing-a-long to! I also would recommend having a listen to her latest album 'Electra Heart' if you are into a more pop kind of sound.

All in all I would suggest listening to some of Marina's material because although her style is very different it's this change in style that I think makes her music so enjoyable to listen to.Read full review...
