One of the most re-playable Wii games ever

Gameplay can be simple or complex. Been playing with my now 11 year old since she was 6; we just keep adjusting to make it challenging and fair in both 1p and 2p modes.

The story mode has fun puzzles that unlock characters and ballparks.

We've been playing for years and have not found any bugs.

If you want realism, look elsewhere, but it's a fun game and has taught my kids a lot about *real* baseball.

Doesn't work.

When I got the game, I was excited to play it. However when I put it in my wii, it didn't work at all. It had a ring to it which makes it unplayable. I was told that they check every game for stuff like this, but how in the heck did they miss that? The reason why I'm rating 2 stars instead of 1 is that they went out of their way to chat with me about it, however I would've rated 3 or higher stars if they gave me a replacement. It's a homerun for Nintendo in my book!

Mario Sluggers is one of my top picks for the Wii. This game is pure fun! Simple enough for the whole family to enjoy and it’s also a blast to play against the computer!

Besides playing a game of ball, there are several mini-games and an adventure for Mario with lots to explore. Some of the ball players have some very cool special pitches and batting swings, such as Donkey Kong throwing barrels and Luigi's hurricane swing.

This game while very fun can be a bit simple and a "walk-through" in some parts. The controls are actually pretty good and the first few times I played it, I threw out my arm! The swing action on the bat is nice, but could be more realistic like the baseball game on Wii Sports.

I recommend this game for family fun and to anyone who enjoys sports games but can't get into the more complicated "pro" games. Mario Sluggers definitely keeps the true spirit of Nintendo!Read full review...

My nine year-old son loves this game. It's fun to play and he is able to figure out the different pitches and outfield plays by himself, unlike most other baseball games.

Similar But Different

This game is alot like the Baseball on the Wii Sports, but there are major differences as well. There are alot more buttons to push and alot more things to learn! There are also 'special moves' for the batting, pitching and the outfielding. (For instance when Mario uses his 'special move' in batting his bat turns into a Fire Bat and will hit the ball extremely far.)
The game is rated "E" for everyone, but I would say the game is best suited for ages 8 and up just because of all of the buttons you have to use to play effectively.Read full review...
