A good water timer, but . . . .
The timer is inexpensive and works well but the lack of a proper clock means the time of setting is the base time for its running.
It needs AAA size batteries x 2. How long these will last has yet to be determined. I hope they won't give out on the hottest day of the year.

Good, but is it reliable?
Instructions easy to understand and set up, so when I was going away for four days, I planned a 5 minutes spray, four times daily at 6 hour intervals, over a group of plants in pots. Set it up 2 days in advance so I could see that it was working. Unfortunately it failed the day before I returned and my plants suffered horribly in the July 2018 heatwave. It could be that the batteries (2xAAA) are not man enough to open the valve, or maybe another problem. But the basic machine appears good so maybe I will consult the makers and see if they can advise the reason for the malfunction.Read full review...

Arrived broken. Didn't look well made.
Arrived broken, so returned. Couldn't obviously see what was wrong, but looking at battery compartment, wires seemed flimsy and poorly connected - so not confident on how well made it was or how long it would last even if it had worked at first. Product does not work. I tried three sets of batteries before connecting to the tap, but the motor did not close the valve within 30 seconds as promised in the instructions. A very useful device.
Pros: You don't normally get gadgets that are simple to operate but this is. Just two controls, one for frequency and the other one for how long you want the water to flow. It appears to be very reliable after a couple of days in operation.
Cons: The waterproof cap had been screwed on by a gorilla. Gentle use of a vice to get it off.
It is designed to screw onto a tap but if you want it in line then a 3/4 to hose connector has to be acquired.
