Wonderful fun looking at the world of nature through a professional's eyes.

I have loved everything I have ever read by Gerald Durrell, particularly stories that involve his childhood years in Greece although his animal collecting articles are also very educational and entertaining. This was new to me and I thought I had virtually everything he had written. His books are a welcome addition to any conservationist, lover of zoos, and anyone who likes a well turned phrase.Read full review...
