A cheap safety item thats worth every penny.
I use this in my garden for my pressure washer and mower (at different times) as I don't have a fixed external electrical supply. Its easy to use and IS splash proof. The only down side is that it lacks a clip for storage purposes when not in use. You do need to be dexterous to open it and to lock it closed.
Everyone should have one of these if you have a floating socket (on the end of an extension lead) that you use outside.Read full review

Would not buy another
Purchased this for xmas light connection outside.Badly designed as where the plastic retail hanger comes out of it, it has bent the rubber seal, thus making it hardly splash proof....also did not close properly at the same end.
Did it's job, but had to be placed under a shelter, so defeated the object of buying it...Read full review

Good waterproof housing
Excellent product. Despite a very wet Christmas period my outside lights stayed lit and I have just taken them down. Looking inside the housing it is perfectly dry as are the ext.lead socket and lights plug. A very cost effective way of safely extending electricity outside in all weathers.Read full review

Makes outdoor electrics (a bit) safer.
If you need to temporarily join cables using plug and socket, this make them much safer by enclosing the connection. Good quality plastic, strong clip join. Not as safe as a continuous cable and you still must use a circuit breaker of the latest spec.
Ideal for connecting (for instance) a cement mixer where there is always some water splashing about. I still like to place the connection where it is unlikely to get wet, such as under an upturned bucket.Read full review

Useful device to aid electrical safety
The plug socket protector worked as intended, shielding the plug and socket from moisture, although I did not test it in heavy rain. The bright colour makes it stand out even in short to medium length grass. I was unable to work out what the black plastic shields inside the orange "sausage" were for, but the item worked fine without them. Read full review
