Useful battery charger
My car has an AGM type battery so my 'standard' battery chargers are not suitable. However I didn't fancy paying £50+ for a charger that won't be used much when the Coronavirus lockdown ends. We tried a similar product from Halfords and had to return it . This was better by far . It began charging within seconds and the battery was returned to full capacity in no time at all . It also came with extra accessories, which at Halfords would have taken the price to 3 times the price of this one .
I went straight back online and ordered another for my father in law for Christmas.

Love these smart chargers, have 6 now, most are permanently connected to batteries over the winter months, they are not too powerful (High Amps) so as to strain the batteries, come with two sets of leads which make permanent fitting for bikes, cars or anything that would involve normally removing a load of covers. Maypole battery charger
Arrived very quickly, thanks, the device is well made for domestic use and is very simple to use, the automatic sampling of the battery condition is good, and can charge 6 and 12V batteries.
If you want a simple battery charger giving up to 4A's this will do you just fine if you want it to trickle charge or float charge a battery it works fine. RF noise emissions are fair so if using to float charge a battery when using, say Amateur Radio equipment portable, it shouldn't be an issue.
My only down side to this is it was a little more expensive than the device should be in comparison to other simple battery chargers, but hey ho you pays your money ..........
