ice maker assembly

Tried to get an official one from Maytag and there was delays for weeks with promises of great service that didn't materialise. However I saw this one at less than half the price I had been quoted by Maytag. Bit worried that it wouldn't fit.
However, on arrival, 5 minitues to fit it and it works perfectly. Greatproduct. No real difference in quality at a much cheaper price. Good service, good product and good delivery.Read full review...

Works great

I have an Admiral/Maytag GC2227CDFB side by side fridge/freezer and because it is in the UK the ice maker is the 240V version - I nearly got a 110V version by mistake that the US market uses. Simple to replace with plenty of YouTube videos and this unit works great. Just need to remove the old unit and re-use the wiring harness and the steel bale arm and it was producing ice immediately.
