The original one-volume version of this book is an epic in Aircraft Manufacturing History. If you can get this edition for around £20 then you have an excellent bargain, especially if you are a nostalgic transport man like me! A bit bulky to hold upright when reading in bed but not too bad if you can read laying on your side. Spine of the dust jacket is invariably sun-faded but this takes nothing away from the fantastic content within the book itself. Francillon was a superb aircraft historian.
