Mercedes is very soothing.
easy to use through vehicle controls. useful function in that it only allows you to select letters in known place names when entering destinations. Disappointing that it doesn't know all the place name, then you have to select by location using cursor.
Overall it is a good installation saving something being stuck on the windscreen.

Very Comprehensive, well made and simple to install BUT it is very difficult to use and has a steep learning curve. There are things which are necessary to perform which are NOT covered in the manual - Like Turning UP the announcement volume as the default is almost zero volume! I guess I'll Learn the O/S and get used to it but meantime is is a Distraction rather than an Aid! .. Becker SatNav unit added to Audio 20 on a Mercedes A Class has made sense of the large screen glued to the middle of the dash. Bargain price from Mercedes in Swansea has made the car complete. Works well, could be cheaper
Just a matter of plugging it in and it worked (you need the harness to plug it into, 508 Navigation box preinstallation, to plug it into). It works well and I find it ready to use. Having just bought a Mercedes C Class C250 Estate I was a little bit disappointed that the previous owner had decided to keep his unit.
So a friend of mine said he bought his on EBay rather than spend mega bucks at Mercedes getting one.
So having found one relative to the car I set about purchasing one. It's completely plug and play and find it far more better than Tom Tom and Garmin sat navy that I've previously owned. Lots of information on it for other countries as well.
