A must have for uneven surfaces

I love this little sander is the first thing to say, the sxe 400 I have thought about for a long time and I eventually purchased thinking it might be discontinued..I paid a premium unfortunately but I wasn’t disappointed, I have used many sanders over the years but this has to be a favourite, it gets in to a lot of tight spaces(I tend to do refurbs on small surfaces) it’s quite aggressive for a finisher but doesn’t spoil the surface, it does leave some swirl marks I will say. It saved me sanding down ikea deck tiles which are flexible, have small blocks which can be uneven and have gaps, this interface pad was essential for this job because it bridged the uneven blocks perfectly, without the sanders sheets were rapidly getting damaged by edges protruding it made sanding much smoother and more even with the result but still got into all the recesses. Don’t expect these pads to last forever though, if you need them have at least one spare. What I found was on full speed if you don’t watch for paper clogging very diligently they will burn.the loop/white Velcro looks ok but it refuses to stick to the sander. After long periods of use (I would say I got about 18hours straight) the pad tears itself to pieces. Even so I would always have in my kit now, they aren’t the price of the hard disc so worth it.
