Make It & Treasure It.

I was surprised how small this item was at first site,it comes as a kind of small flat-pak in a packet.
There are 2 pre-cut metal sheets all coloured ready to press out ,all you need is glue & maybe a plier .
This attractive Melbourne W-Class Tram Kit will require patients and time, plus a keen eye.
However it will be an item to treasure forever.

Metal Earth miniature tram

Very well crafted but you need patience and very good eye sight. Proper tools are required in way of cutters and pliers. Had to do it under strong magnifying glass with light but thoroughly enjoyed it. Now doing another one.Read full review

A challenging little model but it looks good.

It was a challenging model to make. Cutting the parts off the racks with a knife was the best way to do it. The parts fit together very well but the tabs are difficult to bend. I have hobby tools but it was still hard to do. The final assembly was very frustrating as the tabs were hard to line up.
The instructions were ok.

Well made and precise

The Metal Earth models are terrific. They are precisely cut and with the correct level of skill can be put together perfectly. Metal Earth bring the quality, I try to bring the skill...still working on that.

If you are looking for a bit of modelling without painting and gluing these are great.

Astonishing detail, 3D lights, handrails and pantograph

This kit probably has the smallest parts I've come across. I've done the Opera House, St Basil's, R2D2 and the Dalek. Shaping St Basil's domes and the Opera House 'sails' were probably the hardest.>Like all these kits the precision is astonishing. You have to get pieces into exactly the right shape before they fit and then they just fall into place.
I consider the following tools essential - spring loaded narrow pointed pliers both straight and 45 degree bend plus a good head wearing magnifier, MG81001-H is recommended, it has 5 lenses and they can be multiplied. Narrow point scissors I have found the best for cutting out the parts.
This model is beautifully coloured and about 13cm long.
Next project the Movie Film Projector - looks a bit daunting !Read full review

Too small for me I think

It might be a bit to small and fiddly for my ability. Didnt realise it was so small but shall see how it goes.

Fiddly but worth it.

I don't know if I could have put it together myself, it took two friends a total of about 4 hours to do it. It is so much smaller than I expected but lovely.
