Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Gold Edition (PC: Windows, 2008)

FSX for pilot training

I am taking flying lessons and wondered if FSX would hlep. It does on a few things and not others. Its a game thats almost a training siumulator. I installed a model for the plane I train in, Piper Tomahawk. FSX does help me with familarization with the gauges and controls; the rudder pedal action is pretty good practice for steering on the taxi takeoff. Turns and landing flares are not much like the real airplane controls ....or maybe I just need to work on adjusting the pitch and aileron sensitivity. I think the problem with judging landing flares is the lack of realistic distance perception. Overall, I guess its worth the investment. I bought a yoke and rudder pedals from CH products and they work ok. Read full review

Needs work

Any game will never completely satisfy our expectations, however, most can keep us interested enough to keep playing. FSX is one of those games, and while it needs work,especially in texturing, I would recommend it to a friend.Read full review

tried to load the sim on two windows 7 c...

tried to load the sim on two windows 7 computers but it would stop loading without saying why, then i tried my best windows 10 computer and it said i needed to find a file but i am not that smart, then i tried to load on my windows 10 with a 1.6 gig processor and wallah i was in the air in half an hour so it isnt broke but so very close, i didnt think or did i that you one day had the first disc in your computer and forgot and tried to burn data to the first disc instead of a blank, it works tyRead full review

Upgrade to Windows 10 forced purchase of newer version of game
