Office 2003 was far superior

This rating is only for the product. The retailer did a fine job. I purchased this because I bought a new Windows 8 laptop and Office 2003 would not load and would not transfer using Laplink. Therefore if I wanted to keep using Office I had to upgrade. I have resisted all versions after Office 2003 because Microsoft has taken an excellent interface that I had used for years and transformed it into something that made little sense from a user's standpoint and meant I had to learn programs I used every day, primarily Word and Excel, all over again. Reviews of Office 2013 were so scathing that I decided against that version, and picked this as a compromise. I deplore what Microsoft has done to a perfectly good user interface. This version adds nothing I needed. Fortunately, i found an add-in that supports the traditional menus, which makes the program at least usable.Read full review...

Great product, but why do I have to buy it again ?

Frustrating

I followed the instructions for downloading. After downloading it would not work. Went through several days of frustration and found an item on the internet to go through an advanced download and it finally worked. After downloading I found that you have to uninstall the old version PRIOR to downloading 2010. Can't uninstall afterwards. This makes everything pretty slow. These are all issues that Microsoft built into the program. It works well, but it is very slow to upload when Word, Excel, etc., are opened. Good Price for a Good Product

MS Office H&S 2010 is one of the last "buy it and own it" products from Microsoft. Everything is now subscription based so MS has a forever revenue stream. The reason why I bought this program was because I needed a word processor to do my homework. Another reason was for work purposes because our office use excel a lot. One thing I liked about it was how easy it was to use both the excel and word programs. Student version of Office 2010 is perfect

Had this version of Office at work so it was a no brainer. I dont anything more than using the excel, word, power point. So the student version is good. I did have to contact Microsoft to help finish the intall. I had never bought just a key card before so it was a little different. Overall, this office product is very good. Excellent, reliable product

Excellent product I have used for many years. I intentionally chose this to install on a newer computer because of the results I have had using it since it first came out. I definitely recommend it to someone who needs word processor capabilities and the other features like Power Point and Excel. I have never needed or wanted One Note so I can't speak to that issue.Read full review...
