This is a comic gem that I had missed but was recommended by a friend. Not many comedy`s are laugh out loud funny but this one is. Especially for any fans of our national game, this is full of hilarious caricatures and observations that send up football. From the out of touch 'old duffers' who represent the FA to the brainless morons that are the players. Ricky Tomlinson is superb in the title role and gives a great performance along with the rest of the cast. This film firmly hits every target that it aims for with unerring accuracy. I identified so much from real life that is parodied in this film to hilarious effect. I think the film is brilliant and I thoroughly recommend it.Read full review...
