Mindcage meets Silence of the Lambs

Martin Lawrence is a burned-out detective and John Malkovich stars in this movie, with shades of "Silence of the Lambs' in it. Martin Lawrence is haunted by the death of his partner, caused by serial killer John Malkovich. As a series of "copycat" murders start, Lawrence is sure that Malkovich may have something to do with it. He is partnered with a female detective who sees the case as a stepping stone to her success. she offers to talk to Malkovich and see what he knows, or if he can help. This interview is very reminiscent of Jodie Foster's interviews in Silence of the Lambs. As the murders pile up, the 2 detectives are at a dead end. There is a twist at the end that would make M.
