Moen 1224B Two Handle Replacement Cartridge

Genuine Moen is worth the money

I will make this brief. The after market valve cartridge sold by Ace is around $7.50. The aftermarket valve cartridge sold my Home Depot is around $10.00.

I have tried two Ace cartridges. They either become too stiff to turn easily or they leak through the seal.

I have tried one Home Depot cartridge. The O-Rings are too large to allow the valve to be installed in the faucet.

Nice OEM replacement valve for a two handle Moen slop sink faucet. The originals were over 20 years old and VERY difficult to remove. I used a drum brake cylinder hone to refresh the inside valve housing walls, and they work like new.Read full review
