Morphy Richards Bread Machine

This is the first bread maker we’ve owned and I have to say I’m really impressed so far. It’s easy to use and results are generally good quality and consistent. I haven’t used all the different types yet - just basic loaf, banana, French and whole meal - but all these have been good to date. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to have easy made bread at home. Read full review...

Experienced Fastbake User makes excellent bread, but fault will develop that can't be fixed.

This has 3 stars because it does exactly what I expected.

This is the 2nd Fastbake from Morphy Richards I have bought. I use it at least once a week, it makes very good bread, but after using one for over 5 years I do have a lot of experience in using it and I therefore know how to get excellent quality bread from it, which is why I bought the same one rather than another make. The problem with the previous one is that the belt stretches after about 4 years and consequently jumps when in use making a lot of noise. I expect this one to do the same. It can be replaced but the whole breadmaker needs to be dismantled, internet estimates its a 3 hour job. I would have thought it would be easy for Morphy Richards to have a removable panel to access the belt but I suppose from Morphy Richards point of view why bother, customer will buy another machine. Good lines and control buttons

Have used it twice sofar to bake standard white bread, followed the method outlined in the accompanying book and found the required settings easy to implement. First result ok but a bit dense , reviewed what was done and remembered some adice about using 'warmed' water which was used for the second loaf and improved the result to good texture..
Happy so far with results but am concerned about the sound of metallic rubbing during kneading -- may indicate mechanical wear !! -- we shall see no doubt.

Daily fresh bread

Great bread maker. My first attempt at bread making ever, and very successful. So easy to do if you follow instructions precisely. Makes a little noise when kneading, but not much. Put ingrediants in baking pan , press setting , press start button and just wait for the lovely smell of fresh bread when its baked. Have made several loaves now, all successful and a banana loaf. Cant wait to try more loaves. Machine bigger than I thought, I only have small kitchen, so have put in spare room. There is no mess as baking pan removes ,so put ingrediants in,in the kitchen, and take pan and pop into machine. A VERY good buy, and not exspensive machine.Making the bread is so inexspencive to.Read full review...

Excellent purchase

I bought this for my dad, who usually finds anything to do with technology very difficult. But he said he found this very easy to use and has made delicious bread and cakes with it.
I’m very happy with the condition it came in too, just like brand new!Read full review...

Bargain

I’m new to machine baking. Bread is impossible to ruin with this machine. Forget an ingredient at first stage? Stop machine, open lid add forgotten ingredient and start again, I did, after a couple of loaves I got distracted, forgot what I put in, haven’t allowed distractions since. Plenty of recipes in manual and online. For example;I found a brilliant, no salt or sugar recipe that the machine makes a lovely loaf from. Machine makes a one and half and a two pound loaf. Saving money and taste buds from not buying shop bought bread. Organic ingredients are readily available too. Really easy to clean. It is quite a large machine but fits on counter top and then a shelf when cleaned and not in use. The greatest thing is time saving. Under three hours and hey presto one loaf. Chucked all the ingredients in, I put the yeast with the warm water and had a lovely fluffy loaf, after advice from someone who makes machine bread and against instructions but as yet only on a one and half pound loaf, I don’t need bigger loaves. I oiled the kneader once and have not had any sticking issues despite washing in warm soapy water and rinsing since then. Lovely machine at a fair price for beginners or those whose machines gave up. I haven’t been adventurous with recipes yet as enjoying ordinary bread making, I am sure I will try other recipes eventually. The smell of baking bread is a wonderful bonus.Read full review...

Fantastic buy

So easy to use, makes brilliant loaves at a fraction of the price of bought, and you know exactly what you've put in.
This one is a replacement for a previous model that I've had for years, the recipe book is better laid out than the old one, but the machine itself is just as simple to use as the last one. You can make so many different types of loaves, jam, cakes, it's really versatile and is such good value for money compared with many on the market - I love mine!Read full review...

A good breadmaker

Well priced, simple clear instructions, easy to use takes up not a lot of space. Very pleased. However, we cannot get the bread to rise to a normal shape, even with fast acting yeast. Instead the side facing up, and what is viewed as it cooks, shows the bread sunk in, not flat / slightly rounded as expected. Also, on a large loaf setting, the machine's cooking container only produces a loaf 2/3 size of the container.. Not certain what we are doing wrong yet.Read full review...
