Vastly inferior to the original first produced format.
Aa with all haynes manuals, they are a poor substitute for the originals,as when they were first produced.Vague, grainy indistinct photographs, cheao poor quality paper that tears easily, and to top iy all, they dont even have hardback covers anymore. If all you want is the general service information such as torque wrench settings etc, they are fiine. In some areas however, they are often misleading, with contradictory information. All too often they define what in reality is am easy if time consuming job ,using that cjldish spanner grading format to be something that has to be done by professionals.I would also dispute some of the in car engine repair procedures,as in a lot of cases, the photographs clearly show the engine iis not in the car at all. Then there is the claim shown on most manual covers,"the best repair manuals in the world."Its easy to say that, when there is no direct competion, which in practice means you have no choice but to buy a haynes manual,or service your car without any information at all. Then there are the much vaunted testimonials, often by motoring journalists, who have no idea how inferior the current manuals aremcompared to the originals, and who have probably never done anything more then top up the fluid levels. They are a poor, inferior, but unfortunately essential buy for anyone wanting to maintain their own vehicle. Which is the only reason,in the complete abscence of any direct competition, I have recommended it.Read full review...
