Good value and easy to fit.

I used the same kit a year ago and found it easy to fit - it really depends on how tightly the previous mechanic or owner turned the spark plugs and oil filter into place. If you don't have a special wrench to turn an oil filter that's stuck in place, you have to force a screw driver through the metal body of the old filter and use that like a lever. The air filter simply slots onto a plastic air-intake box.

With the second order, I could fit the parts more quickly because the oil filter could be turned by hand. I caught the old oil in a washing up bowl and then poured it into the empty oil bottle. All that took about an hour on the road with the car's front wheels raised on concrete blocks.

In dry weather it's a pleasant job but you need a dust sheet or a bit of plywood perhaps to keep your back off the tarmac. There's a video on Youtube showing how to do this if you are doubtful. The 1-litre engine takes 3 litres of oil plus 0.1 litre to fill the new oil filter. The engine has 3 spark plugs of a long-reach-body type.Read full review...
