For me this is the Chili Peppers first awesome record. The self-titled, Freaky Styley and The Uplift Mofo Party Plan are all fun and fun is fine, but Mother's Milk is the debut of John Frusciante on guitar and Chad Smith on drums. Chad coming in and replacing Jack Irons and John replacing Hillel (R.I.P.) added a new and more powerful dimension to the Peppers and propelled to them funk & roll and awesomeness. Read full review
