Moto g 1st gen still going strong
I used to have this phone when it 1st came out and chose this for my kid. Didn't want state of the art just a good reliable phone for emergency and for staying in touch with the extended family. As its quite old it won't be great for many games. It still looks nice and really comfy compared to my ultra phone.Read full review...

Good all rounder
Fast with good camera and great screen. Very versatile with dual sim and 16Gb memory and upgradeable to Android 6.0 - an excellent all round mobile for not much money

Functional
The phone works well, very simple to find everything. Has everything you need. It is my back up phone and given the choice between my Samsung and this, I would take the Samsung, but there is a huge price difference. Value for money and functionality, this is a good phone.Read full review...

good second hand phone
problem with microphone which is common with that model and I knew about before I bought it. Get round the problem by using the headset that it comes with. No problem
love it.
Battery life. at the moment it's not great but maybe that's because I can't stop fiddling with it! Did have a Nokia 520 and this beats it hands down. I didn't want a high end high price phone as I am a cheapskate but this feels like i paid a lot more then I did for it. As I said, I love it. Plenty of memory ....and it does everything well. Even the camera isn't as bad as they say.Read full review...

Water resistant good quality budget phone but much too little storage
This is a great phone - I did lots of research before deciding on the Moto G 3rd generation as my phone. I even went through a few others before settling on it - Moto X Style (kept randomly rebooting), HTC One M7 (too slow and outdated OS but amazing speakers), Sony Z3 Compact (Marshmallow broke battery life so it was worth more to me in cash).
The only thing I didn't reckon with was how much space would be usable!
I thought the 8gb storage would be OK, as I would be able to move most of my apps to the SD card. It turns out this was not the case so I only had it for a few weeks before having to acknowledge that it was just too small on storage for my uses.
If you are a light app user, and mainly use your storage for music/videos then this is the perfect phone for you.
If you use any amount of finance-related apps or apps that require being stored on the main storage for security reasons and are not shiftable to the SD card then look elsewhere.
I'm very sad to have lost the water resistance in my new phone (HTC One M8) having moved on from this one, and if I can get a 16gb/2gb version of this phone for a good price I will jump at the chance and swap back.
In summary - a great phone, but choose the 16gb 3rd generation Moto G if you have the money to.Read full review...
