Great as a quick reference guide.
I bought this particular Pocket Guide to Mushrooms to go with the other Pocket Guide books in the series I have on herbs, and trees. Its a great little book listing all the commonly found mushrooms in the Northern hemisphere, so good for anyone living in Britain. It gives a short description of each mushroom, with a watercolour illustration. It tells one what to look for, and about the spores, and the sort of habitat they can be found in, such as in meadows or under particular trees, etc. It also lets you know if they are edible or not, and if the mushroom is poisonous, or even deadly.Read full review...
