My Dad's a Soccer Mom
This is one of the most uplifting comedies I have seen in quite a few years. I have never been much of a sports fan, myself, but this film does not really require its viewers to have knowledge of the games. Self-absorbed ex-football hero Mad Dog Casey is disgruntledly saddled with the task of babysitting his little daughter Lacy when he discovers that she is not especially interested in the girly pursuits that she's been roped into but rather has a tremendous talent as a tomboyish soccer player. He hides the fact from the other characters and takes her to soccer practice while pretending to take her to ballet, drama, etc. By the time they are found out, father and daughter have bonded in a way that has the dad learning what true love is, and little girl feeling a sense of real purpose. The movie is not rated with a G or PG, but there are no cuss words or other objectionable material anywhere here. Just good clean fun with a virtue. All ages should enjoy it :)Read full review...
