Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon

Beautiful Edo period Japan action-adventure game. It's a simple and light game and that's just what I like. It rewards exploration and it has varied gameplay. There's loads of peaceful bits to balance out the action and I have actually laughed out loud several times at the humour of the game, which regularly breaks the fourth wall and makes anachronous references and just stuff you don't see coming. Used video game for less

The purchase of this Mystical Ninja video game is a good choice for adventure lovers of all ages, in my opinion. That is, obiviously, why I bought this game in particular. I already owned "Goeman's Great Adventure" which I found to be entertaining and challenging, therefore, I pretty much knew what I was purchasing. This version features hours of action- packed adventures from dodging boulders to unlocking the mystery to getting "one step closer" to his final goal. The only drawback to this purchase is that it arrived without a manual (which you will most likely always have to purchase separately, if buying in a used format). I will try to solve the puzzles on my own for now and already have come across some surprises, but I can pretty much rest assured that a manual is available if I should need one. Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon

Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon (known as Ganbare Goemon: Neo Momoyama Bakufu no Odori! in Japan) continues the gameplay style found in Goemon 3: exploration-based action, very similar to Zelda (the first two Goemon games were basically sidescrollers at heart). As Goemon and his friends, explore ancient towns, haunted castles, and mysterious bamboo groves in polygonal 3D and solve puzzles to advance. The game never takes itself seriously -- whether you're talking to the ghost of a wise man in a Hamlet-inspired seance (complete with laugh track) or smashing tiny mechanical armies in your Goemon Impact robot. The gameplay offers mainly platform jumping and exploration, but there are of course plenty of adventure elements and you can talk to everyone and everything. Pretty fun to play.Read full review...

A Suprise Hit

Do you like Mario or Zelda then you may like this little jewel(The Mystical Ninja) which offers the same entertainment plus some. It takes place in Japan and you start off as Goemon a ninja trying to save his town from evil villans (The Peach Mountain Gang). The basic layout of the game is you and your band of friends some of whom you can control, explore the vast and exciting game world jam packed with stages, bosses, and new exciting weapons/magic.This game is pretty long and has alot of funny humor and decent grafixs to go with it. So if your looking for a solid game with hours of gameplay and humor you can not go wrong with this Nintendo 64 classic.Read full review...

Trust me, it was worth every penny. In my opinion, this game is better than the Legend of Zelda series for the N64.

It's very challenging, has a wide variety of characters, has different puzzles that need to be solved, an amazing soundtrack, robot fights, and has a nice RPG feel to it. (I'm not a huge fan of RPG games, but I just thought I'd point that out)

Undiscovered Gem

This is one of those lesser known series for the 64 that was really great. The game offers a plot that similar to a Mario platformer and is one of my favorite 64 games along with SM64, LZ:OT, LZ:MM, SF, BK, and BT. I just hadn't gotten around to purchasing the game (I had rented it multiple times in the '90s). It's a great game for hardcore and beginning gamers alike!Read full review...
