A modern sports classic!!

One of the better 2K games, I really liked how in the NBA showcase mode the games have a classic aesthetic filter to represent the time period of when the game originally took place like having a black and white filter when you play as Bill Russell's era Celtics. I wish they still did that in the newer games when you play as the classic teams. This and 2K11 are two of the best games and are more fun than 2K19.Read full review...

Great seller, Great game

It is as advertised, Works and has manual but I thought i was getting Larry Bird on my cover but MJ is fine. The Case itself inside is clean like it's really clean as of gameplay don't say it's bad it was made 2011 so for that time it's pretty good. There's a mode called "NBA's Greatest" it's like the Jordan Challenge prior excluding your stats you just have to win the game (there's also more players/teams to use) and in those challenges you can unlock classic teams to use in "Playnow" also there's a filter in some challenges for example Bill Russell would be in black and white. So overall 10/10 great game just be aware Bird might not be on your cover.Read full review...

NBA 2K12 (Xbox 360, 2011) MJ cover

fun game and will like it was alot better than i thought you can use every on in the nba back Last year, two of the biggest complaints were the cheap defensive AI and the alien looking players. NBA 2K12 improves on both counts, but it's not perfect. The defense never lets up and will take advantage on every play if you let them. They still occasionally become psychic (my favorite was Dallas Mavericks center Brendan Haywood executing a perfect backhanded block without ever turning around to see me coming in for the layup), but it's rarer. The fact is that you're given so much more control of your footwork and shots, that it's up to you to get around the defense, because the game won't do it for you anymore. Choosing which hand to shoot the layup from or which way to fake before a jump shot makes or breaks every point in the game, and NBA 2K12 give you full control. It takes a little while to get fully accustomed to, but the amount of control you have is incredible.

As for the players, many of them look better. Kobe Bryant got a noticeable improvement. There are still alien looking players on every team, and each time the game cuts to them it is a bit jarring. Everything else about the game looks so amazing, that it really stands out. People would watch me play and comment on how fantastic the game looks, and then boom, Jarret Jack comes on screen looking like he got stung by bees in his face or Steve Nash shows his hideous mug.Read full review...

This game is awesommeeeeee

This game is action packed and it is just awesome. Up until last week I was still playing NBA 2K11. No other sports game has lasted me as long, and I was contemplating skipping this year's version because, hey, 2K11 is still fun and I like to take breaks between my sports games. That would have been a colossally stupid move. NBA 2K12 takes everything I love about last year and makes it better. Then it takes nearly all the parts I didn't like and turns them awesome. The GREATEST NBA game ever!!!

This is the best basketball game ever. You really don't need to buy a new version every year. What these developers got to start doing is charge the gamers according to their wishes. If you want to buy the new version every year, well great make the new version for them. If you want to keep what you already have and think it won't get better,well fine, charge the gamers for the roster update. You keep everybody happy. I find that the the CEO of these companies don't have a clue as to what their customers need and wish. I bought the XBOX360 version and the PC version. It is too bad the PC version online play is so terrible. The lag and connectivity issue is really bad. But the game itself is better than the Xbox360. This game is one of my favorite nba games amongst 2k11 and 2k14 the rest just went down hill after that. In my opinion these are the last best nba games.
