Affordable, reliable and silent
This in my opinion is the best solution for around the home ethernet wiring if you have the need for a large number of connected devices and perhaps more than 1 room to connect them in.
This final 4th edition is silent, having no fans, and gives effortless gigabit connections over both ethernet and SFP fibre. It is possible to aggregate connections although I have never done this myself.
Before using these I would also recommend the GS108T, GS110TP, GS305P, GS308P and GS716T but would always use the larger units where there is space. There are some PoE variants too. As you can imagine, I am a fan of Netgear switches.Read full review...
