Good Quality Net

This is an excellent quality net for when a big fish happens along.

It is fairly easy to set up but I can see how someone could try to force it when everything is not in the right place and damage either the net or the arms.

Once set up it is a very good net to lay to one side for the odd bigger fish. I wouldn't want to use this as my main net and I doubt that was its function when designed. It is a second net for when a specimen comes along and the smaller main net just is not big enough. I have read some reviews of people 'lifting' this net and fish out of the water. I do not want to have to explain that this net (nor any net really) is desired to just lift a dead weight vertically at the end of a 3 metre pole. Any net doing that repeatedly with 5lb+ fish will eventually break. Bring the pole through the hands with the weight of the fish in the water. This is a deep net so it is easy to grip the net beneath the frame and lift the fish gently out of the water and straight on to the mat or cradle.

Please don't try to lift our of the water as a dead weight at the end of a pole. I know that I shouldn't have to write this but clearly a few people are doing that bad on some reviews in here.

Assembled with all due care and attention this will do its job for years to come.

On the face of it, it's great value and looks great....but

Whilst the net is huge, great value at the price and works well with the floats, I feel there are 2 reasons I can't recommend the set.
1. Out of the 5 carp I used it to land, 2 ended up with their dorsal fins caught in the mesh. Maybe I was unlucky, but this has never happened with other carp nets I have used.
2. I think the 3m pole is too flimsy for large carp. As it happens I have a much sturdier shorter pole which I will use with the net and I will use the 3m pole for other species.

NETS

Good net set. Well made and the floats work well. I was impressed with the pole on the way it can be locked when reducing its length. the stink bag is just right for the whole set. Really pleased.

42'' landing net head

I've not fished for nearly twenty years, so when our son wanted to start I decided to buy on budget. Already had landing net poles so just needed nets, found these on eBay and wasn't disappointed. Great value, and a must for most club waters. Read full review...

Good but flawed

For the money it does the job, I have had two
ngt nets prior to this and both eventually snapped/ fractured at the point they stick out of the y joint so sustained regular use they last a year tops. As the struts are hollow I have resin glued anodized 3 inch nails in the ends of these struts to give support at this weak point . Have used once since and works fine but only time will tell and will try not to put any undue strain on joints..Read full review...

Good quality

Decent quality budget net, disliked the metal Spreader block changed mine to a plastic version. Impressed with the double floatation features on the net arms.
