Excellent value pod

Sturdy pod, alarms survived heavy rain no problem. Great pod that's easy to set up.
Heavy compared to the upmarket alternatives but these are great value. I've had one for a few years, got a second one for the wife, at this price you can't go wrong :)
In the photo, I've replaced the rear rod grip holders with rubber ears as I prefer them.

Sorely disappointed

The bag is the best bit about the whole thing. I use it to keep my bank sticks etc in since the pod was thrown away. the threaded bits of metal that the buzzbars attach to is lightly glued into a very shallow depression. Both popped out almost instantly under light pressure while assembling. The alarms worked very well for 3 hrs of fishing then stopped working entirely. For 24 quid i hoped for at least a few months use and was sorely disappointed.Read full review...

Great bit of kit for the price, wouldn’t expect it to last but perfect for a beginner.

Brought this for my first rod pod, it was really cheap and boy could you tell! But to be honest, it does the job perfectly. The legs are stable on any surface really, they are all individually adjustable height wise too. You can also shorten/lengthen the frame.

The rest of the rod pod isn’t really up to it though. I didn’t use the vertical bars included as it made the pod far too flimsy, I just put the buzz bars straight onto the leg frame. It’s a bit sturdier than before but after around 15 careful uses the bar that holds the alarms has now completely disintegrated.

If I replace the buzz bars I’d be all good to go again, but instead I’ve purchased some sturdier kit.

In conclusion, buy this if you’ve already got buzz bars but want a frame that won’t break the bank, or if your just starting and want to ‘test the water’ with the sport.

Rod pod

So the rod pod is great apart from 2 things, 1 the bobbins are not great, Infact rubbish. 2 the down screw bars have plastic threads which thread really easy, the good part is you dont have to use them, use the middle rod and bite alarm holder, and screw that on to the pod itself, the 2 at each end can be adjusted so they sit the right way up, its so much more sturdy and its metal on metal so will not thread, I'm glad i realised i could use it this way, it looks cool Aswell, much lower to the ground, recommended buy for the priceRead full review...

Poor quality

Not happy.
Wouldn't recommend.

I bought this as it seemed to be a good deal, but it was too good to be true. A couple of the poles were bent (could be from shipping?) Theres was glue hardened onto one of the poles and due to poor quality plastic one of the hinges for the legs completely snapped off after my second time using it.Read full review...

pod

pod and alarms are ok but the swingers are not that good ,have changed them already , what is the problem is where the line goes into the swinger you cannot retrieve your rod in a hurry and you need to hold your line to remove it from the swinger . apart from that its good value for the priceRead full review...

Not a great developed product at all

Rod pod broke where the upright poles push into leaving the whole thing useless as it doesn’t stay in the holder anymore. Only good thing is the bite alarms.😂 will stick to bank sticks from now on.

Alarms and rod pod

The swingers won't stay on the line the bars move from side to side when a rod is removed from pod and on the second use the screw in the pod that holds the upright bar came out but the alarms are brilliant very happy with the alarmsRead full review...
