Terry P rules OK
I read this book as Terry, himself, said it was the best book he'd written. As I'm a fan, it was likely that I'd enjoy it, which I did. It's a children's coming-of-age book with heart. All human life is there - love, loss, belief, Faith, friendship, family ties, the human condition (philosophical discussion) and above all, despite the most difficult challenges, a hope for the future. Throughout it all Terry weaves his wit and humour. I can see why it became such an important book for him as he was coming to terms with his own horrifying diagnosis as he wrote it. Heartfelt and, above all, human. He is much missed as a down-to-earth author of fantasy and sci-fi. Incongruous, but true.Read full review...

One of Terry Pratchett's best books
I love all the discworld books and I've read his others, including the bromeliad trilogy and the long earth series but Nation stands out on its own. It is very different from anything else he has written and is a compelling read.Read full review...

As good as new
Bought this because i'm an avid Pratchett fan, and also because it was a bargain. I was not disappointed. Good as new for a second-hand price. Still unread but i'm totally satisfied.
