This controller has four buttons, but only the up and down functions are programmable. In my case, that's fine, although it would have been great to have got the stop button working, too. One observation is that to programme the controller, you have to unscrew the cover of the control panel in the garage and then find a very small switch, which you use to transmit data to the controller. However, there is an alternative way of doing this with other hand controllers of this type, which simply involves placing them side by side and gently touching a few buttons. Just a small point, but if you simply want additional controllers, probably best seeking that type of controller out as opposed to buying this one.Read full review

You have to sync this remote directly to the main control in the garage. It is simple to follow the instructions which come with the remote.
We tried to sync it to an existing old style remote control, as per numerous u tube clips on this subject, but this will not work due to security features on this new style fob.Read full review
