Not at all sure!

Just about average, I would estimate!

Having used an old Black and Decker device for many years, I thought something more modern was due. so went ahead with a purchase.

Easy to understand, but on usage, found that it was not as precise or accurate that I expected. Appeared to give some wrong locations, with a wider span, I would have hoped. But that is my opinion, and I would expect that some people might have far better or lesser results. Price wise, probably worth a punt or so, just for the experimental value on a diy basis, taking into consideration, that a far higher priced device might return better results for the tradesperson, who uses these type of devices on a regular work schedule!.Read full review

Useless

Bought this unit to see how it performed against my Bosch D-tech as was going to give it to an apprentice but it seems to be usless. Never finds studs in plasterboard or plaster and lath walls, even made up a short dummy wall with all the marking on the outside and nothing. Finds active electric cables that are 1/2m away and so seems useless again. No matter how much times i have tried it, it just doesnt do what it is meant to.
In my professional opinion using this item could lead to an accident because it seems to be very inaccurate. Would not recommened it at all. It seems to be well made but that is all i can say good about it.Read full review

Junk, avoid at all costs.

Instructions badly translated from, presumably, Chinese and didn’t match the buttons on the physical device. Completely failed to find live wires which I knew the exact location of. It managed to locate a stud, which I had installed hence I knew the exact location of, once. Sweeping across the same stud from the opposite direction it failed to locate it at all and on the third attempt then”detect” button jammed in place and the device would do nothing. Returned for a refund.

Just don’t buy this. I’ve read reviews of brand-named detectors costing five times as much and they don’t work any better.Read full review

The wall stud finder came without any instructions, so I've contacted the seller if there is any available instructions for the product. Well the answer was more like robotic than everything else. So basically you buying something to play with, it's game call hit and missed. So for everyone who is thinking of buying the product good luck. It does detect power feeds to wall sockets they run above & below except
when a socket lines up with a socket on opposing wall.
