Thought provoking and interesting film that's definitely worth watching.
I'd read the book and wanted to watch the film to see how the storyline had been conveyed. In many ways I actually prefer the film; I don't normally find this at all when I've enjoyed a book.
The film has a great cast and although it's dark and very moody, the relationship between the lead characters is very touching and realistic.Read full review...
An in depth story of unusual childhood and adolescence.
A chilling story of children unwittingly being bred for organ donation purposes, enjoying an ordinary schooling until they realise what's expected of them when they become teenagers. This knowledge affects their relationships with each other in a tragic way. It's a film you will want to see again to pick up on the clues you missed the first time.Read full review...

Cloned organ donors struggle with love and mortality
This is film is base on a story by Kazuo Ishiguro. A science fiction tale set in the near future or a parallel world. It concerns a trio of children who grow up in a public school, but a public school especially catering for children cloned from social low-lifes with their specific purpose of them becoming organ donors for the general population. Being organ donors is their life, their raisond’etre and to cause of their early demise. Against this backdrop this is a tale rites of passage and of a classic love triangle, with the wrong couple starting off together, but then the right couple ending up together when it is too late.
The cast includes Carey Mulligan, Keira Knightly and Andrew Garfield + Charlotte Rampling. A low budget production with suitably oppressive/ claustrophobic location shots. All rather low keyed. For me a melancholic little number, interesting rather than thrillingRead full review...
Moving film very thought provoking. Highly reccommended
Based on the Japanese novel I first saw this at the cinema where I found it both touching and provocative. Wonderful performances by the cast as they explore the impact of 'cloning for spare parts' upon their own and others relationships. Certainly well worth watching .Read full review...
