New Order Substance

Had the original on tape that accompanied me on many miles in my job many years ago.
Discs in great condition and the music as good if not better than I remember.
Thanks!

The perfect singles collection

From the ashes of post-punk giants Joy Division, New Order rose phoenix-like and from the shimmering guitars of 'Ceremony' to the classic synthpop of 'True Faith', this is one of the best single collections of all time. And this was only the first 6 years of the band's existence!
Every song is a classic (bar the badly remixed 'Sub-Culture') and the b-sides disc isn't bad either. 'In a Lonely Place' and 'The Beach' both seeming timeless and just as good as their A-side counterparts.

All in all, pretty flawless and whenever i listen, "I feel so extraordinary"...

historic band

This is the best of the best "post punk" band, they are the "inheritance"of JOY DIVISION,they ARE the Joy Division Whitout the singer Ian Curtis after his tragic dead, but they went so far, exploring both "guitar" and "syntetizer"styles of music, always whit a personal and great approach!
My personal all time favourite song is BLUE MONDAY from this collection

Quick despatch, quality product - delighted. A++++

Time and subsequent reissues of New Order's back catalogue hasn't diminished Substance in any way; with the addition of some of the (frankly insane) B-sides from the cassette version, such as Dubvulture and Shellcock, this would have been just perfect. As it is, it's a thing of beauty and a reminder of a special bunch.Read full review...
