great cd with a great singer i would ask you to listen to it before you buy as some say its not what they like but i say he a great singer and carnt wait for next cd to come out

what a subliminal debut. A gorgeous journey into acoustic heaven. Newton's voice is like a rich velvety chocolate, leaves your begging for more without making you feel sick.
Tracks to look out for is, dare I say, all of them. Catchy and beautiful and from a man so young.
Teardrop is just exquisite, a difficult track to cover, but Newton manages it with ease.
If you want to try something fresh and uplifting I cannot recommend this album enough.

Newton Faulkner - Raw talent!
Heard Newton Faulkner on on a BBC program a month or two ago and was blown away!
Bought the album immediately and was not dissapointed.
If you like funky, folky acoustic guitar, this is the guy for you. He's fresh, original non-manufactured, just pure raw talent.
Could compare vocal quality to Damien Rice I suppose, but without the razor blades - far more up beat! More like a male version of KT Tunstall.Read full review...

Great album
Newton Faulkner's unique style is what i particualrly like, as there isnt really anyone else that manages to create the same sound as him. This album is great for relaxing when your stessed out, or just to chill out on a quiet afternoon.
One of my favourite albums from the past few years.

Great modern classic
This guy is terrific. Original sound, great melodies whilst remaining soulful. Newton is a British pearl of new music. Look forward to any new material in the future.
Fantastic album
A fantastic and original talent; Newton Faulkner's Handbuilt by Robots is a brilliant album. Received this as a Christmas present and it has quickly become one of our favourites.

This is such a great album,its really different in sound as the artist has a unique way of playing the guitar - he bangs it with his hand to make a really different sound. I missed it when it was released in the shops and just came across it on Ebay.Read full review...

Unfortunately there is just a few songs on a fairly average CD. worth a listen if you like him though.
Great album - Beautiful raw voice
What a fantastic album. I love the sound of a beautifully raw voice like this. I really enjoy listening to the album and love all but 2 of the songs which I can still tolerate. I have 2 of the tunes on my mobile phone, one for messages and one for a ringtone. Caught an interview on radio one a while back where he was talking about the music and where his inspiration came for the songs on the album. I was shocked to hear that one of my favourites 'Feels Like Home' was actually written about an old business partner gone bad. Sounded like a sloppy love song to me lol
