Great phones, though the second hand ones dont seem to last long

The great thing about the Nexus 5x is that you can run Oreo (Android 8) on them, which previous phones you cant. Why is this important? Well with Android 8 the battery life is extended on your phone enormously thanks to apps going to sleep when the phone isn't active.

Only thing is for the last couple of 5x's I've bought off ebay they've only lasted 6 months or so, one went into bootloop and was bricked because you couldnt' fix it (no fix available on web) and the other the fingerprint sensor failed.

So I'm not sure they're the most reliable phones but when they work they're fast and battery life is good with android 8.

Slightly bigger than most previous phones I've owned but not so big to be cumbersome

Overall good value if you can get one around 140-150 GBP in good condition.

Brilliant Google Device!

The Nexus 5X is a brilliant compact device. Spite its 2GB RAM capacity it can still load apps very quickly. Having a stock Android smartphone means you will have the best Android experience that you can possibly get. I have been using this phone for well over a week and I am more than happy with this device.

I recommend this device for anyone who wants a cheap phone maybe as a replacement for a broken phone or maybe an upgrade.

Brilliant phone

Coming from Nexus 5, its not that much more advanced but I love it.
Perhaps would still like to have QI charging but the fingerprint unlock makes up for it.
Still a great phone if you can carry a spare battery around, as the charge is not that great (just as Nexus 5)Read full review

"Solid standard Nexus experience"

It takes a nano SIM. I had carefully cut down my old SIM, as I've done several times before with others, but it jammed in the SIM slot. Not going to blame the phone on this, but seems sensible to point out that you're likely to have more problems than if you order a new sim.

Good news, the phone comes apart pretty easily. There's no glue. I just used a spudger. I undid the mid-frame enough to get the SIM tray back. It went back together ok and still worked.

Strange but Wonderful

Being an old timer - 82 - I found the phone full of features - but for me it was like trying to find my way through a maze - but I am getting used to it and enjoy the phone.
