Nikon CoolScan 5000 ED Photo, Slide & Film Scanner

Fantastic piece of kit!

This is a brilliant scanner for 35mm slides, even really filthy slides are restored to photos as good as digital, if not better. I was able to use vuescan software with the scanner which downloaded online for about $50US (try the freeware 1st) to replace the Nikon software which doesnt work with recent versions of windows or OSX. The SF210 multiple slide feeder is well worth the investment if you have several hundred plus slides to scan, you can leave the machine to scan 50 slides in one go.
The 5000 coolscan is the best investment I have made in ages.

Finally had time to setup and run single slides and strips. This is a great negative and color slide photocopier ever made. Scratch processing nearly perfect, color correction very, very good!

Really a good equipment

The scanner is mint as it was described in the auction. The equipment has been carefully doubled boxed and it was safe during the long shipment overseas (the external box has been damaged but not impacted the second one).
The scanner arrived even two days earlier of the fist expected delivery date.
I tested the scanner and it woks fine.
I strongly reccomend the seller for his professionality and for the wide catalog of equipment. I will look for the positive film holder

Nikon Super Coolscan LS-5000ED

Easy to set up and use. You need to carefully watch the slides move through the film gate to learn how to adjust the opening for the slides to move without inducing a jam in the machine. I scanned10K slides in 3 weeks using the batch loader SF-210 which saves a great deal of time. Read full review
