A very nice accommodating and versatile camera.

This camera is much smaller and lighter than the D3 and has most of the performance features of the D4. The SD card is, so far as I am concerned an advantage over the compact flash card, but I miss the two card feature of some of the other Nikons. As a camera it does everything that I would expect of it, functioning well with some of my very early Nikon lenses, which are some 40 years old, as well as the latest generation of lenses. I have been using Nikon SLRs since 1970, including all of the professional film and digital models. This is certainly my favourite digital camera and when using it I am fondly reminded of my old F3.
