Great Buy!!
The lens was Mint as described...perhaps beyond. Very clean. Works the way it was designed to work. Good sharp images. Not a "D" model (which means the lens ability to inform the camera of distance) is not available but focuses right on. I'm happy with it!Read full review
Gets the job done.
This lens is really good for hobby guys like myself. At the $200+ price tag, you should get a good picture.
The photos won't be super sharp, but they are extremely nice. At 2.8 this thing is it sent in low light. Me main reason for getting it is for video. The footage is great as well.
Overall, if you don't have $750 for the 1.8g, this is the next best thing. I like it.Read full review

Excellent performer
This lens is an excellent choice if you want to get close and still include plenty in the background. Also great when space is limited. It is more than fast enough for use with current digital cameras and has top notch contrast and sharpness.Read full review

when you need to long wide and light, this is your weapon of choice.
superb optics + using your feet to zoom in/out make this a great option when you need to take in a large area. However, it can be used up close, with anticipated distortion..concerts, landscapes, ultra-wide street scenes? piece of cake. Clickable f-stops simplify things. The glass weighs almost nothing and is not likely to attract attentionRead full review

Capture ALL there is to see
If the widest lens you've ever used has been in the 24-28mm range, you owe it to yourself to try the Nikon 20mm f/2.8 D. The wide aperture affords loads of light right down to the end of magic hour, and you'll see the world from the tidepool in front of you to well up past the rising moon. Fast-focusing, affordable, and flexible, this lens is even usable on my D5600 in a pinch (minus the AF as a 30mm).
The 20mm is the last signpost before you enter the world of fisheye surrealism and captures as much as anyone could possibly hope to cover. Whether you shoot landscape, reportage, or even style/fashion, this is an absolutely essential tool, and I can't believe I've managed this long without one!Read full review

Fantastic lens at a good price.
Fantastic lens at a good price. It is great to have a 20mm 2.8 again... I sold my last one 20 yrs ago and I've missed it a lot.

20mm 2.8d ... get one!
This lens is a blast to use. It's wide, lightweight but durable, small in size and doesn't attract a lot of attention to the camera. It's fast enough to use in all situations and for the price it seems to be a tremendous value. This lens still sells brand new for $621.00, so a used version for under $300 is a bargain. I highly enjoy using this lens for landscape photography. Get one!Read full review

Nikon 20mm f2.8d lens
This lens is just as good as the newer models and cost much less... It is wide enough for indoor group shots when a 24mm is not enough coverage and has minimal to no noticable distortion. This lens is a full frame format lens but can still be used on a cropped frame and is a wider than the 28mm lens and seems to be also sharper than the 28mm lens on cropped frame and full frame camerasRead full review
