This was my 1st console that i bought my self in the mid 90s, loved the n64 then and love it now, it's one of my all time favourite consoles that i have in my collection, it's the first time i got introduced to super smash bros, 007 goldeneye, banjo kazooie, jet force gemini, there just to name a few, the Nintendo 64 console changed the way people thought about and played games, this 90s fun house of a games machine is the best in my eyes and always will be, brings back lots of nostalgia of growing up, even though the system didn't support cd based games like the PlayStation or sega Saturn that were around at the same time, and still used cartridges to house its must have franchises this is still a must buy for any collectors out there!Read full review...

WAY ahead of its time.

I grew up during the beginning and rise of the video game era, starting with the NES/gameboy onwards. Actually, I even remember playing the Spectrum and Commadore 64! During that period I have owned and played and read all about the games for, basically, all of the games consoles. I even had (still have) the Panasonic 3DO.

Anyway, all of this is to say that of all the consoles the N64 was the most ahead of its time and the most fun with the best selection of excellent games. Obviously there are caveats, e.g. sentimentality, age, etc., but all tings being equal, it was the BEST of them all. And even now the games and console still hold up, even if it is relatively bulky and not quite as pretty graphically/technically. Read full review...
