I wasn't told when I was buying the console that I would need to buy either an AV cable or an RFU adapter to make it work, but otherwise it is a great buy for a great price.

Great console, value for money and great product taking into account era.

Overall the experience from the Nintendo 64 is as exactly expected from a console from this era. the game selection for the console is extensive and so are the add ons. The console is easy to set up providing you have the composite cable (YELLOW, RED AND WHITE) insted of the RF Modulator. the console depending condition and accessories influences the price but overall the console is value for money. I bought this product for a present for my son for his birthday because he has always shown an interest in this tech. The graphics compared to todays consoles are poor but this is expected with its age. compared to other products from this era i beieve this is the best option.Read full review...

Awesome product. Before you buy just BE 100% SURE it contains Jumper Pak.

Great console with lots of classic games to buy which will never grow old! Its an awesome console to have especially now that we can find them at such low prices and buy games for next to nothing! 100% totally recommended!! I have given it 4 stars only because obviously graphics aren't as modern as new consoles which might bother some people.

Some things to watch out for (!) :

1. Console MUST contain "jumper pak" to function. MUST. no exceptions.

Its a removable part of the product found under the grey hatch you see in the picture. Before you buy this product make sure you ask the seller if it contains one unless specified. I didn't and as it turned out my N64 didn't have one.. It would have been unusable but I was just lucky that I had happened to buy a game for the console which came with a "RAM Pak," which is extra memory inserted in place of the jumper pak.

2. Its a good idea to also buy the "controller pak." This is a cart that inserts into the controller. 90% of games allow you to save the game directly on the game cart, but for the 10% of games that don't, this controller pak will prevent you from having to start your game over every time you stop playing it.Read full review...

Nintendo 64, a timeless console.

I bought this as a gift for my 21yo boyfriend, he had a Nintendo when he was young and after watching some videos online decided he wanted to get a new one. It is very basic, the graphics are not that good, but when you consider when this console was released it was ahead of its time. It is a great, fun console with a wide variety of games for all ages available to purchase on eBay from as little as £0.99. The console itself was not expensive to buy and has a nice big controller, so I think it would still be a great starter console for kids without paying megabucks for alternatives.Read full review...
