Awesome unit

I had a regular GBA growing up and could never play it in the dark. I wanted to be able to play my old GBA games again so I picked this up and absolutely love it. I can play in total darkness and see perfectly. It has two brightness settings which is a cool feature. Really makes the colors and graphics stand out! Awesome. Works excellently, but charging is a bit tricky

This game boy looks great and is in really good condition. It even came a day early than expected! The only reason why I'm deducting a star is because of the fact that whenever I charge it on any charger, the "charging" light indicator turns off after a few minutes and when I unplug the game boy, its light soon turns to red and I start over again. Either that or i have to keep plugging and unplugging. This makes chatging inconvenient. Other than that though, this is excellent and I would highly recommend it to anyone.Read full review

Something Old is New Again

I have owned a Gameboy Advance SP (AGS-100) since it first came out many many years ago and played Tetris on it almost every day. It got to the point that is was shorting out rebooting pretty much every day. When I went on eBay to find a used one for sale that was still in pretty good shape, I had no idea that I would find a unit like this. This unit is like new, in fact, it is better than my original Gameboy Advance SP when it was new. The biggest difference is the brightness of the screen. The screen has 2 brightness settings, the lowest setting is at least twice as bright as the old unit. The top brightest setting is bright enough to play outside in full sun, couldn't do that with my old one. If I would have know a unit like this was available, I would have purchased it a long time ago!!!Read full review

Not all of the "games of yesteryear" made it to the Nintendo eshop: if you are a fan of the Final Fantasy Legend series, some of the independent, non-sequel games, or older puzzle games like Stop That Roach, you will need one of these. It plays all of the "pre-DS" games, so even original GameBoy games will play on it. It lacks Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but what it lacks it more than makes up for in terms of function and a very large--if older--library. It does have a rechargeable L-ion battery and a backlit screen, and folded it is almost undetectable.Read full review
