Nokia 6700 classic good phone but a bit of a let down on bluetooth.

The phone is a great all round phone but it does have an infuriating fault on the blue tooth. Sometimes you can turn the blue tooth on and it works fine but then it turns itself off.Then you can try and turn it on and all you get is the blue indicator bar on the bottom of the screen saying turning bluetooth on which never happens. I have tried all the recommended ways to sort the problem out, like restoring factory settings loading new data and removing the battery and re-fitting it. Classic Nokia Phone

I have always liked the look and feel of this phone, my son had one,
I use a modern smart phone for work and wanted something a bit more retro for my personal Sim, I also did not want something that would constantly connect to WEB and run up unwanted bills,
I was a bit nervous buying off ebay, but it was the only place with this phone within my budget,
relieved when it arrived, initial impressions good, especially as reviews online where wildly different of phone,
As I said earlier look and feel impressive,very compact, good weighty feel, everthing on it typical Nokia, ease of use etc,
call quality excellent which was my main priority with this phone.
I have not tried Web yet as I have not configured it, I have enough other web access gadgets anyway and I wanted this primarily as a phone,
only one thing slightly disappoints, battery life not quite as good as I expected, 2 to 3 days without much use, might improve with use.
Very pleased I went ahead and bought it and off ebay, sold as new and I am confident it is.Read full review...

Still a great phone with good battery life,compact,& the gold coloured ones still get a lot of attention.

Nokia 6700

Well, I have now owned two of these phones in the past three months. They are great to look at and easy to use. The battery life is good. However both these phones developed faults within weeks of having them. I think a lot of it is down to the size and the durability where they have been in my pockets and are not as robust as any other phones I have had. Not a phone for someone who is active/at school/carries phone in pocket. Would suit someone who carries it in a brief case with a cotton wool wrap!!Read full review...

This phone is a true gem never lets me down always got signal easy to use .
I know i have the phone as it isn't too light in my pocket good screen .

NOKIA 6700 CLASSIC - POOR QUALITY AND PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED

For a new phone, this phone was troublesome from the start. Lost signal 90% of the time, and would not find again for a few minutes even though I live within 300 meters of a telstra tower. Phone kept losing signal when talking and I would have to continually dial up again. Sound volume would fade in and out, or just lose sound altogether. I have owned 2 Nokia 6700 classic's prior, but this one was absolutely useless. Had to replace battery when 2 weeks old. I think it may have been refurbished even though sold as 'new'. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.

I bought the Phone 6700 three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 5M-pixel camera, video camera, and speakerphone. The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hours. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.!!!Read full review...

All good. Got everything i asked for.

Everything was as expected. Phone is working great, charger is working, got earphones as well as a nokia usb wire. It even came a few days earlier.

Bluetooth problem with this phone

Purchased this phone from a reputable ebayer like myself no problem at all.

Problem lies with Nokias bluetooth function. Please read all the reviews regarding bluetooth faults with this phone. Very disappointed as the phone is very pleasant to use and simple. Good looks etc let down by I am pretty sure the software or firmware. To my knowledge Nokia has'nt a fix for it. Most of the time you cannot switch the bluetooth on which is very frustrating if you require it in your car.Read full review...
