Nice and simple.

It is a very nice and simple phone. nothing fancy, but does what it is supposed to do. I purchased this one as i needed an extra phone for my extra sim. So far, I'm a happy customer.

Nokia 6100 Mobile Phone

I was after a compact phone that does the basics (phonecalls and text messaging) well. In my opinion noone has made a phone that does this better. You can pick them up for £25 second-hand. They can be unlocked to any network for free. It has decent battery life, a clear colour screen, loudspeaker facility and the keys are not so small that text messaging is hard if you have gorilla hands.

A new fascia is not a bad idea if you receive a model that's a little bashed up, and these can also be bought off ebay for about £3 - you can also get some in colours that it never originally was produced in - very smart.

Nokia's last no nonsense mobile !!!

Following on from the 8210/8250 in terms of size but incorporating some of the business features of the most famous 6310, this is a great phone for those that either want a no frills lightweight, pocketable phone or business people who want to sync with their PC etc. In fact you can download some Java midlets that let this phone do pop3/smtp email as well as Opera Mini browser, Calendar, ToDo List and Memos all make this a great business tool as well. Compare to the 6310 its just missing voice notes and Bluetooth however you can write notes and get a nice wired hands free for about £1.50 on ebay. Another great thing about this phone, as well as other older Nokia's, is that there is a buoyant spares market which will keep them going years after their manufacture date. In fact you can build a brand new 6100 entirely from spares. I stopped using my huge Blackberry and went back to this phone within 6 months which says alot about its features. All in all, you cant beat Nokia's, in my opinion they are the best phones, and the 6100 was their last sensible no frills phone thats great for business people or those not wishing to carry a small computer around with them.Read full review...

You can use it as a telephone !

I had this phone for a couple of years, it wasn't packed with features like today's phones but unlike today's phones it was small, compact and good looking. Very easy to use, colour screen, poly ring tones, a plug on camera capability, changeable front and rear covers, games, Internet, Oh... and you could call people on it.
I MISS IT !

Very good phone. Old style but still worth to buy it.

This phone is old style phone but it's worth its price, especially when you can buy one very cheap. It's good in ergonomy and design and it's just phone without all nowadays gizmos you will never use. I had Nokia N82 but I sold it when I realized that I use only phone and text message functions. Nokia 6100 is a small and very nice phone and the quality isn't bad at all. It works great and the battery holds up to 6 days in the real life not in specification only. Well, if you need a phone not hyperspace communicator or something else fully loaded of useless functions you will never use or you will use them once a year, buy Nokia 6100. You will realize then, what's the difference between the real phone and the gizmos tech.Read full review...

Nokia 6100 Mobile Phone

Let's face it most people over the age of 14 dont really want a phone with Sat Nav linked to the tides in Hong Kong - we just want a friggin phone and being able to text is nice too. Cameras? - who wants to lug the extra weigh around for the once every month you might actually use it? I've got an MP3 player thanks and I want my phone battery to last more than a microsecond (which phones with MP3's rarely do - especially if you use the MP3 bit). Neither do I want to wait an hour for the software to load up or have to wade thru a 400 page manual on how to turn the wrethed thing on. The answer? A 6100. I have four now (one back up and three back up to the back ups). You get tri-band so it works everywhere - it weighs 76g - yes thats 76g - still the lightest phone on the market - it phones and it texts and it looks great. Want more? Fine. Its your life. Enjoy. :-)Read full review...

Nokia 6100

I love these phones - try to keep more than one in reserve - small, good battery life, LOUD ring, so I can hear it in the car.

No annoying features, like cameras, mp3 players, radios, GPS, etc that I don't need. The menus are easy, and predictive text works well.

Can't think of a single reason to have a modern super-phone!
