I finally have what I want!
I had to find a Mazda part in Canada!!! My dealers ordered the brushed chrome fuel filler door and told me the shiny chrome isn’t available for my 2006 MX-5 Grand Touring NC. I know I’ve seen them and I know a lot of parts are genuine Mazda parts. And I found it in Canada!!! I am too thrilled to have what I want on my baby! Thank you so much!!! It compliments the chrome on the body of my car.Read full review

Gread addition to the Miata/MX-5
This item adds a bit of bling to the Miata for not much $$ and it isn't terribly difficult to install.
Be sure you remove the gas cap and stuff some damp wadded up paper towel in the hole so the cap isn't in the way. Also put a bit in the drain hole so the small nuts you remove don't fall into that hole and clog your drain!
The hardest part is removing the two small, black 8mm nuts that hold the existing door assembly to the chassis. They were extremely difficult to remove. I couldn't get them off with a socket wrench, even with a torque wrench bar they wouldn't budge and I only managed to strip the heads. At that point I resorted to using a slightly smaller 5/16" socket with an extension and an impact drill driver to break their "seal"... not sure if it was from paint or what not. I had used a lot of liquid wrench and hit the heads with a center punch, but that hadn't helped loosen them up.
The only other thing to be very careful doing is removing the existing pop up piece of metal from the nut that the release cable threads through. You have to remove the nut, remove the pop up piece and then screw the nut back on and if you aren't careful the cable can slip down the tube and that would be a disaster, it isn't hard if you are just aware of the danger first... read the instructions! (This door has it's own pop up spring built in so you can discard the old one you removed)Read full review

OEM
What I was happy with, was this product is made of metal and not plastic. An O.E.M. product
It was a direct bolt on product that looked original and gave my car some chrome sparkle along with a little class.
Well worth every penny.Read full review
